For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.  Leviticus 17:11
The Atonement is bringing a person back into “at – one – ment”  or relationship with a holy God.  God’s holiness demands that those in relationship with him also be righteous and without guile before his presence.  Man's own self efforts can never achieve this.  Learn in this series that there is no other way that we can be reconciled to God except through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross.
